Stealth horror adventure games have always been among my favorites. Maybe because I played the first Alone in the Dark at a time when my mind was more impressionable, but be that as it may it has always seemed to me an entertaining genre.
This game poses the following situation: we are locked in a house from which we have to escape but we have to do it without the old woman who guards us finding out. This is going to be somewhat complicated, since we will have to be very quiet because she hears any noise. If she discovers us, she will give us a haircut and we will return to the starting point. We have 5 days to escape from the house and that is the equivalent of having 5 lives because every time the granny catches us we will wake up again on a different day.
We can interact with different elements of the house, such as doors and drawers, and hide under furniture or inside cabinets. The control system is also simple: with the left thumb we will move and with the right thumb we will control the direction of where we go and look.

Despite this point in favor of its artistic inspiration, the game’s performance is quite improvable. It does not feel fluid and we have found that some of the effects present in the PC version -which can also achieve a higher frame rate- are missing, such as blurs -of movement and field- or a more careful lighting. Being a very modest game in the technical section, we could clearly ask for a more polished version on consoles.
Bendy and the Ink Machine is the typical horror and puzzle game of the new indie era, and it doesn’t try to hide it. Unlike other proposals it will not quickly fall into oblivion thanks to the fact that the setting is interesting, its characters are curious and at least during our first game we will want to know how it ends.
Obviously there are much better alternatives within the genre and the most obvious should be Resident Evil 7, which is to all intents and purposes an improved version of the mechanics that we will find here.

The goal of the game is for the player to successfully infiltrate the basement of his neighbor’s house to uncover an intriguing secret.[2] The game’s artificial intelligence modifies the neighbor’s behavior based on the player’s past actions, such as setting traps along paths the player followed in a previous attempt.[3][4][5] A sequel, Hello Neighbor 2, is scheduled for release in 2022.
In Hello Neighbor, the player finds himself moving into a new house across the street from a mysterious neighbor, who behaves paranoid and seems to be keeping a secret in his basement. The player’s task is to enter the neighbor’s house and solve a series of puzzles to gather the items needed to unlock and access his basement. As the player explores the neighbor’s house, he must not be seen by the mysterious neighbor or he will be chased and, if the player is not quick enough to hide or escape, he will be captured. If the player is caught, he will be sent back to his own house and will have to enter his neighbor’s house again.[7] The player is then sent back to his own house.
